The Pesach essay incorporating the Lehrer-Bush exchange was truly perplexing. RT makes a logical leap from the discussion of sacrifice to an unrelated domestic agenda leaving the reader dumbfounded. RT needs to deal with the implications for AMERICAN JEWS that obtain to Iraq and Afghanstan and the more general topic of global terrorism. We, after all, ARE the targets-e.g. see the profile of 9/11 WTC victims.
If RT purports that Jews have interests beyond Iraq, the RT objective is noble; provided that we acknowledge the vicissitudinous attitudes that continue to overlay the Jewish presence in American society.
